I was having lunch with my friend Shannon recently, and she was sharing the reason she and her friends founded Beveragette Ventures LLC™. Their product line, GEM™, is a wonderful collection of delicious tasting ready to drink supplements for women. As she spoke I was glued to every word.
She described the day they had an epiphany. One friend, Kathy, was having a hard time maintaining her concentration during normal social conversations, including those at work. Kathy described why she was always reorganizing the freezer and if looking for something specific, why she would stand there stalling for an extra minute or two after she found it. She was having hot flashes all day long. They made her miserable and panic stricken. She physically had to excuse herself from conversations during a hot flash episode. Her face would bead up in sweat and the back of her neck felt like she was sitting in a sauna. Kathy confessed that she experienced this a dozen times per day. On top of being uncomfortable during the day, the night sweats were unbearable. She rarely slept and often found herself sitting in front of the TV for hours in the middle of the night. Shannon asked Kathy if her doctor had recommended anything to help. Kathy’s response was shocking.
